This ESOL Employability course will teach you all the elementary expertise that is relevant for any working environment and build your confidence and communication skills at the same time.

You will acquire knowledge of qualities employers are looking for, how to approach your first days in a new job, and how to work effectively in a team.

Course Content:

On this course, you will learn:

  • How to improve communication skills and self-efficacy skills
  • How to enhance relevant skills needed for the working environment
  • Provide a combination of approaches, ideas and techniques that will help you manage your own learning and career progression
  • Develop your English language skills and confidence for employment

Community classes are first steps into learning for many adults, enabling them to find out more about a subject of interest in a welcoming, inclusive local venue.

From September 2024, funding changes mean that courses primary aim is to support students into further education or employment opportunities (paid or voluntary). If students wish to continue studying the same subject on a leisure basis, it may be possible to set up full cost courses, subject to tutor and room availability.
