Course outline

This course is perfect if you haven’t yet reached your potential, and need some support to develop the personal skills and English and maths knowledge to move on with your study.

You’ll learn English and maths in a supportive environment, through a variety of methods including fun practical projects as well as more traditional methods.

You can expect fantastic facilities and supportive teaching staff who will go the extra mile to help you achieve. You’ll get the opportunity to complete a National Citizenship Service (NCS) residential too.

We will invite you to undertake an initial assessment and will be looking for a result of Entry Level 2 or 3.

If the initial assessment results are lower than this, it may mean you are suited to a different course but, don't worry, after your initial assessment we'll always clearly explain all your options.

You must be aged 16-18 to apply for this course.

Teaching & assessment

Assessment is continual through coursework folders and Functional Skills assessments.

Progression

Choose to follow with a Level 1 course in a specialised career area of your choice or employment.

Students aged 16-18 don't have to pay tuition fees.
