Foundation Learning
Our Foundation Learning programmes are all about giving you the confidence and skills you need to start on a full time college course with us. In our Foundation Learning programmes you’ll spend some time developing your personal and social skills, you’ll develop your skills for studying and learning and find out more about different career options available to you. You’ll take part in projects that will help you grow your confidence and alongside this you will continue with your maths and English, both important elements of your college experience.
Our Foundation Learning programmes are really supportive. You’ll have a dedicated tutor to help and guide you and you’ll have regular one-to-one progress reviews.
These programmes are ideal for anyone who may have struggled at school or in mainstream education so far.
Once you have successfully completed a Foundation Learning programme with us we will encourage you to progress onto a full time college course, helping you to further develop your vocational and work ready skills for the future!
On a Foundation Learning course you will get the opportunity to go on a residential trip as well as experience different parts of our curriculum and take part in a range of different confidence-building projects in college and with the wider community. You’ll work through challenges as a team and get some great experience to add to your CV.
