Creative Exploration — Part-time
Course outline
Our Creative Exploration course consists of three 10-week blocks, of Creative Projects to help you to engage with your local community, learn new art skills, make friends and develop skills for life.
Sign up for just one block or stay with us for all 3, it’s entirely up to you as you will learn skills each term.
Over the first 10 weeks you will join art tutors and peers in not only learning about art and design, but also in how learning how you can apply your art skills to local projects within the Nottingham Community. Projects will vary and will be different for each of the 10 week blocks, but they will all have an element of enterprise and live art to show you how you can make art work in real terms! You will develop communication skills, learn about budgeting and work together to build on your own personalised community art work.
This course is aimed at young adults (19+) who are struggling to progress to a full-time course or engage with education, but want to try out some art and design at college with no pressure of exams. No previous art experience is necessary.
We welcome students with learning disabilities, difficulties or mental health issues. Please email Alexandra.rayner@nottinghamcollege.ac.uk or Carolynn.henshaw@nottinghamcollege.ac.uk for further information.
This course is held over two days on a Wednesday and Thursday morning from 09:30 - 12:30.
