Got a question about enrolment? We might be able to answer it here with our frequently asked questions.

Top questions about enrolment

On our accept your enrolment page we have a guide on how to accept your enrolment invite. It is important you let us know as soon as possible if you cannot attend your enrolment date so our admissions team can rebook your enrolment appointment as soon as possible.

On our accept your enrolment page there is also guidance on what to do if you cannot attend an enrolment date. It is essential that you notify us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend your enrolment date, so our admissions team can rebook your appointment as soon as possible.

For those who have been invited to a specific enrolment appointment, this will be between 20th - 28th August. Your enrolment invitation will have been sent to the email address on your student account. Your enrolment appointment will be visible under the My Applications area of your student account.

Signing your learning agreement is essential to be fully enrolled onto your course. You can sign this before you attend your enrolment date or do it on the day. We encourage students to read and sign their learning agreement before attending enrolment as this will help speed up your enrolment on the day.

How to sign your learning agreement:

  1. Go to the Learning Agreements page on your student account
  2. View any outstanding learning agreements that need to be signed
  3. At the bottom of the learning agreement is a button to confirm and sign

That's it, you've signed your learning agreement and have one less thing to do for enrolling! Don't forget to bring everything you need with you.

On our what to bring with you to enrol page we have all the items like acceptable personal identification and documents you need to bring along with an enrolment checklist. Make sure to read through this page before you enrol so you've got everything you need.

Firstly, try not to worry, Nottingham College has hundreds of courses to choose from, and we are here to support you. You should still come along to your scheduled enrolment appointment where we can discuss alternative options with you, and if needed, make you an appointment to discuss things further with one of our friendly careers advisers.

You will collect this at the campus where you are enrolling on the day as long as your enrolment is fully completed*.

For progressing students, you will be contacted by email when you can collect it.

*Your enrolment may be delayed if you do not provide your exam results, the correct evidence for fee remission/ fee payment or personal Identification - please make sure you read the list of what you need to bring with you.

Other frequently asked questions

This is likely an official Nottingham College WhatsApp/mobile text campaign which is designed to either survey prospective students/current students who are due to enrol with us or provide reminders about enrolling. Any links in this message may use URL shortening but should always lead to either our main website (www.nottinghamcollege.ac.uk) or Learner Hub, your student account for managing any college applications (apply.nottinghamcollege.ac.uk). For more information on identifying specific communication from us, you can read more about what to look out for.

Our student finance support page provides the support available and how to apply. Please be aware that we get a large number of student finance applications and it can take some time to process your application.

If you have already applied for student finance, your application cannot be fully completed until you are enrolled as a student. You can track the progress of your application under your student account

Travel passes are provided at the start of the academic year in September, as the travel companies that we work (Nottingham City Transport and Trentbarton), do not process them until this date.

If you haven’t applied to us yet, there's still time to apply.

No worries, applications are still open. You can apply online through our website. Some of our courses are extremely popular, and if you apply now, we cannot guarantee you a place on your first-choice course. We encourage you where possible to have a backup or Plan B course option.

Progressing students will also be invited to an enrolment appointment. You may have been pre-enrolled onto your course, in which case:

  • If you have met the conditions to progress, come along to collect your new ID card and apply for student finance if you have not already done so.
  • If you have not met the conditions, please don’t worry, we will help you secure a place on an alternative course. Please come along on the date and time shown above anyway.

The enrolment period is the busiest time of year and you may end up in a queue to speak to us over the phone. You can use our Live Chat function on our website and if you really feel you need to speak to someone, try and call us as close to 8.30am in the morning when lines may not be as busy. (our lines open at 8.30am).

Our phone number is 0115 9100100. You can email us too through enquiries@nottinghamcollege.ac.uk.
