Course outline

This is a re-sit course with the aim of building on GCSE Maths results already achieved and is not suitable for school leavers.

GCSE maths not only gives you the numeracy skills you’ll need for life, it is your golden ticket to apply for other courses, apprenticeships and jobs – having a C or above at GCSE maths is now a standard requirement. We’ll do all we can to support you to achieve it.

You’ll study a variety of topics including:

  • Number and algebra
  • Geometry and measure
  • Statistics and probability

Your tutor will do all they can to support you through the course and prepare you for your final exams.

Progression onto other courses (eg Access, A Level) or onto employment.

Additional information

This course is free unless applicants have already achieved a grade C or 5/4 in the new system. If you are looking to improve to a higher grade the fees are then applied.

However, all students will be required to pay a £30 fee for materials.
