Course introduction

These courses are for adults who have a range of textile or craft experience and want to pick up or develop existing skills in a range of textile workshops.

These classes are sociable and you will have the opportunity to practice a range of guided technique workshops supported by our technically skilled tutors. You will have the option to present your work in a sketchbook or as individual pieces.

  • Textile Techniques
    • Textile Techniques is for anybody who loves to create, make or design textile artwork and wants to have some time each week to practice, learn new skills or share with other like-minded creatives!
  • Printing onto Fabric
    • Printing onto fabric is for anybody who loves to create, make or design textile artwork and wants to have some time each week to practice, learn new skills or share with other like-minded creatives! You will develop skills to help you print onto fabrics which can be used in tops, tote bags or other accessories.
  • Weaving Techniques
    • Weaving techniques is for anybody who loves to create, make or design textile artwork and wants to have some time each week to practice, learn new skills or share with other like-minded creatives.
  • Embroidery
    • Our embroidery course is for anybody who loves to create, make or design textile artwork and wants to have some time each week to practice, learn new skills or share with other like-minded creatives!
  • Knit Techniques
    • Machine knitting: Getting to know the machine, basic machine knitting, striping, bobbles, ruffles, e-wrap with fabric and wool
    • Hand knitting: Knit, Purl, Rib stitch

Please note: Due to the high demand of these part time courses, if you start a course but can no longer carry on, you will not be eligible for a full course refund. If you enrol on a course and the start date passes, you will not be eligible for a course material fee refund. If you get remitted fees and attend your course for free, if you do not attend the first two sessions without letting the tutor know or without valid reason, you will be withdrawn from the course.
