Course outline
These courses are for adults who have a range of textile or craft experience and want to pick up or develop existing skills in a range of textile workshops.
These classes are sociable and you will have the opportunity to practice a range of guided technique workshops supported by our technically skilled tutors. You will have the option to present your work in a sketchbook or as individual pieces.

These courses are part of our Textiles Pathway of Adult Part-Time courses:
- Textile Techniques
- Textile Techniques is for anybody who loves to create, make or design textile artwork and wants to have some time each week to practice, learn new skills or share with other like-minded creatives!
- This course also leads into our 'Textile Sketchbook' 10 week course which will encourage you to work on your own textile technique sketchbook and develop a range of samples.
- Printing onto Fabric
- Printing onto fabric is for anybody who loves to create, make or design textile artwork and wants to have some time each week to practice, learn new skills or share with other like-minded creatives! You will develop skills to help you print onto fabrics which can be used in t-shirts, tote bags or other accessories.
- This course also leads into our 'Textile Sketchbook' 10 week course which will encourage you to work on your own textile technique sketchbook and develop a range of samples.
- Weaving Techniques
- Weaving techniques is for anybody who loves to create, make or design textile artwork and wants to have some time each week to practice, learn new skills or share with other like-minded creatives.
- This course also leads into our 'Textile Sketchbook' 10 week course which will encourage you to work on your own textile technique sketchbook and develop a range of samples.
- Embroidery
- Our embroidery course is for anybody who loves to create, make or design textile artwork and wants to have some time each week to practice, learn new skills or share with other like-minded creatives!
- This course also leads into our 'Textile Sketchbook' 10 week course which will encourage you to work on your own textile technique sketchbook and develop a range of samples.
- Textile Sketchbook
- This course gives individuals a chance to develop a sketchbook project over the course of 10 weeks which may be chosen around a given or self-selected theme. This course gives opportunity to apply skills developed in our knit or textile pathways into a project and create outcomes based on your own individual project development.
- You will have development support from tutors to create your own theme or brief and develop a project concept from this with your specialism in mind whether this be textile, knit or sewing techniques. You will create a series of samples which may be used for a final piece at the end of the course.
- This course could progress into our Full-time Level 1 Fashion and Textiles course. The textile Sketchbook course takes place at the end of the year when our other creative workshop courses are completed. We would recommend taking part in these courses before or after taking our sketchbook course. Our other pathways include textiles, dressmaking, textile or creative business start-up. Our other textile courses include weaving, embroidery, Textile Techniques and Printing onto Fabric.
