As you progress on to the next phase of your stud­ies, the skillsets required will need to devel­op too. 

As part of your course, you can receive help with the tran­si­tion to high­er edu­ca­tion by using our inte­grat­ed Aca­d­e­m­ic Coach­ing and Employ­a­bil­i­ty Skills services.

This Col­lege wide ser­vice is offered by Library Ser­vices – through online and vir­tu­al learn­ing tools; whilst Achieve­ment Coach­es can help you over­come bar­ri­ers to your learn­ing and advise when per­son­al well­be­ing pre­vents you from achieving.

A range of vir­tu­al resources and activ­i­ties can help you to suc­ceed by improv­ing your aca­d­e­m­ic and study skills including:

  • gram­mar and punctuation 
  • writ­ing essays, jour­nals or reports 
  • research skills
  • Har­vard referencing 
  • avoid­ing plagiarism
  • crit­i­cal analy­sis and reflection
  • pre­sen­ta­tion skills
