Academic Coaching and Employability Skills

As you progress on to the next phase of your studies, the skillsets required will need to develop too. 

As part of your course, you can receive help with the transition to higher education by using our integrated Academic Coaching and Employability Skills services.

This College wide service is offered by Library Services – through online and virtual learning tools; whilst Achievement Coaches can help you overcome barriers to your learning and advise when personal wellbeing prevents you from achieving.

A range of virtual resources and activities can help you to succeed by improving your academic and study skills including:

  • grammar and punctuation 
  • writing essays, journals or reports 
  • research skills
  • Harvard referencing
  • avoiding plagiarism
  • critical analysis and reflection
  • presentation skills
  • planning, researching and writing your project or dissertation
