Early Years Studies Foundation Degree Level 5

Validated by Nottingham Trent University.

There are currently greater expectations of childcare and early years education than ever before, as understanding grows of how early interventions in a child’s life can make a huge difference to their future learning, development and wellbeing.

This course is ideal if you are currently working in the early years sector as a childminder, teaching assistant, nursery nurse, nursery manager or learning support assistant and want to move your career forwards to work as a manager/senior practitioner.

The course is a flexible, work-based programme designed to allow you to continue to work while studying.

It has been developed in association with employers and professional associations, and is sector-endorsed, meaning it is considered a robust, relevant qualification by the early years sector.

In order to progress your career in this sector, posts increasingly require you to be working towards, or hold, a qualification at Level 5 and above. This foundation degree is a great way of gaining the qualification you need while remaining in work.
