Course outline

This course is perfect if you want to learn about healthier ways to cook and eat. This course will uplift your passion for healthy cooking and learn new methods and styles of cookery and food preparation.

You will learn:

  • Introduction to the kitchen, health and food safety
  • The EatWell Guide
  • Lentil Dhal and Spiced Spatchcock Chicken
  • Steamed Hake 'Paupiette Style'
  • Vegetable Katsu
  • Fresh pasta
  • Asian-style Salad with Steamed Salmon

There are no formal entry requirements but you must be aged 19+ and have an interest in healthy eating and/or catering.

Teaching & assessment

You will receive regular feedback from your tutor.

Progression

You could progress to the Entry 3 Certificate in Introduction to Hospitality.

Additional information

You must wear an apron and fully covered shoes while on the course.
