If English is not your first language, an ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) course is a great way to build your confidence in writing and speaking English.
An ESOL course can help in all aspects of your life. For example, it makes it easier to deal with household letters and bills or could improve your communication skills for work or further study. You can also learn new skills that are useful in the workplace such as ICT and Maths.
The aim of an ESOL course is to help you feel more confident in speaking, reading, writing and listening in English.
At Nottingham College, we offer full-time and part-time ESOL courses for students of all ages. Your class will include people with a similar level of English to you and teaching will be friendly, informal and fun. Our approachable staff are here to help you right from your initial enquiry up until completion of your course.
We work with a range of partners who can help you make career choices and they are also there for students that are facing difficult social issues. Our Student Services team offer support for students with additional learning needs.
This course is perfect if you are aged 16-18 years old, English is not your first language and you wish to improve your English Language skills and perhaps wish to pursue further study or an apprenticeship.
