Job description

Your future is here

A place to inspire

Being part of Nottingham College means playing a vital part in helping thousands of people reach their potential. Together, we’re making a positive difference to our learners, to our communities and to each other. We’re building better futures, for others and for ourselves. Here, you’ll have the freedom to work in a way that suits you, the support to thrive and the opportunity to shape your career.

What you'll do

We are looking for an organised, proactive and detail-focused Administrator to support delivery across the King’s Trust programme, the Youth Guarantee “Next Gen” project, and Castle Meadow Campus.

This is a varied and fast-paced role where you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our programmes and campus. You will provide high-quality administrative and operational support, from coordinating meetings and maintaining accurate records to supporting events, finance processes, and stakeholder communication.

The successful candidate will be confident working across multiple priorities, handling sensitive information with professionalism and discretion, and working collaboratively with a wide range of internal teams and external partners including The King’s Trust and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

You will be a key point of contact for campus operations, helping to ensure a safe, well-organised and welcoming environment for both students and staff. From supporting enrolment and celebration events to liaising with Estates and Facilities, your contribution will directly support positive student experiences and programme success.

We are looking for someone who is adaptable, reliable and committed to delivering high-quality administrative support, with a genuine interest in supporting young people and inclusive programme.

Who we're looking for

We recognise that great administrators come from a variety of backgrounds. You may already have experience in an education or youth-focused setting, or bring transferable skills from a similar environment. We welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Proven administrative experience within education, training, public sector, or a youth-focused environment
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a busy setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience of accurately minuting meetings and maintaining formal, confidential records
  • A high level of discretion and understanding of GDPR when handling sensitive information
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database systems
  •  A proactive, flexible approach with strong attention to detail
  • The ability to coordinate events and support logistics effectively
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to a positive team and campus environment

Above all, you will bring a positive, solution-focused attitude and a commitment to supporting the effective delivery of programmes that make a meaningful difference to learners’ lives.

For further details on this post which the job description and person specification cannot answer for you, please contact Kyle Hutchinson (Head of Inclusive Programme Development) on Kyle.Hutchinson@nottinghamcollege.ac.uk.

Interviews /Assessments dates are planned for to be confirmed.
