What you'll do and who we're looking for

Nottingham College is seeking enthusiastic and committed lecturers to join our Art and Design team, delivering across our wide variety of provision. We have multiple roles available and this is an exciting opportunity for both experienced lecturers looking for a new role, or for newly qualified lecturers also.

We are passionate about supporting students to achieve their academic and career goals and are looking for someone to join us in our growing team.

In this role, you will contribute to teaching, learning and assessment across programmes. You may specialise in lower level teaching and have experience of SEND and Neurodiversity which is essential within these courses. Alternatively, you may be a Higher Level practitioner with industry experience to influence our responsive curriculum.

Our provision spans from Entry 3 up to BA degree level with the majority of our students sitting at Level 2 and 3. Across all levels, students experience a mix of specialisms including;

  • Print
  • Ceramics
  • 2D
  • 3D
  • Architecture and design
  • Graphics
  • Fine Art
  • Sculpture
  • Traditional drawing techniques

We have multiple roles available which will focus on different courses. These might include:

  • Role 1 - Potentially based in new course programmes which focus on re-engaging learners in college and creative subjects and developing life and work skills to prepare them for progression. 
  • Role 2 - Potentially based in Level 1 and 2 across programmes supporting course leads. 
  • Role 3 - Potentially based in Level 3 or courses progressing into Level 3.

We are looking for someone with strong subject expertise, excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to student success. We would welcome practitioners who have experience in any of these specialisms to bring your expertise to our department.
