What you'll bring

We’re excited to offer an opportunity to join our Digital team at City Hub, supporting our innovative Esports provision. This role gives you the chance play a key role in helping our students access cutting-edge digital and gaming technologies, in a creative, fast-moving environment.

You’ll contribute directly to high-quality teaching and learning experiences, guiding our students in using specialist digital technologies. You’ll support your teaching colleagues in delivering workshops, demonstrations and practical learning activities, playing an active role in creating a safe, inclusive learning environment and engaging learning environment.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Take responsibility for all specialist equipment within your designated digital learning suites and prepare learning spaces and resources so lessons and activities run smoothly.
  • Prepare and manage a range of risk assessments, in liaison with the Health & Safety Manager, within designated suites or relating to specialist equipment to ensure the safe operation of all assigned spaces and resources.
  • To lead on planning and delivering specialist workshops for students in designated suites to facilitate student knowledge of processes, procedures and safe use of the digital equipment. Provide direct teaching to students when Lecturers are off ill as cover.
  • Maintain visibility within the learning environments to ensure the safe and effective management of resources and enable students to book in to use digital suites under supervision.

Who we're looking for

We’re looking for someone who has experience of working in a digital environment and is curious, proactive and passionate about digital technology or gaming, with an eye for detail. You’ll be just as comfortable working collaboratively with colleagues and students as you are taking initiative, acting independently, to solve problems in a busy and demanding environment.

You’ll possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to demonstrate good organisational skills, contributing to an engaging learning environment where all students can thrive.

You’ll hold a Level 3 teaching qualification or be committed to work towards one within an agreed timeframe. Experience within an education setting is desirable.
