This course is perfect if you aim to develop and enhance skills required for the working environment and improve learners’ confidence and communication skills in order to be prepared for employment or for a change in employment.

You will learn the knowledge, understanding and essential skills employers look for in employees. These range from familiar ‘key skills’ such as team working, independent learning and problem solving, to more tricky-to-measure skills such as:

  • an appreciation for appropriate behaviour and dress
  • appropriate interpersonal skills
  • communicating with professional colleagues/peers and/or hierarchical seniors
  • supporting other aspiring employees
  • personal manners and deportment
  • understanding work practices and how different roles and departments function within an organisation.

To be awarded the NCFE Entry Level Certificate in Employability Skills (Entry 3), learners are required to achieve 15 credits overall from a range of units.

You can expect an experienced teacher to teach relevant business skills that employers are looking for. With an industry background and experience of working with businesses, you will gain knowledge of what it takes to be successfully employed in a business environment.
