Course introduction

This course is perfect for anyone wanting to photograph or style images as part of their portfolio, website development or as part of developing a new creative skill.

The course is designed to suit beginners and experienced stylists and will walk you through theory as well as practical elements of styling a photoshoot. The same skills developed could be used in other styling scenarios such as visual merchandising or personal styling advise.

Within this course, you will consider colour theory and analysis as well as proportions and scale in your photos. You will learn about theoretical planning of images as well as selecting backdrops, locations and models. You will plan outfits, accessories or themes for images and plan out taking these photographs.

This course is excellent to complete before our Photoshoot and Image Editing course which begins after Photoshoot and Image Styling. Both of these courses are part of our Creative Entrepreneur courses and can be completed alongside Creative Business Start-Up to develop resources to use in your own website, business or side-hustle!

Our other pathways include Creative Business Start-Up, Advanced Fashion, Textile, Knit and Seasonal Crafts.

Please note: Due to the high demand of these part time courses, if you start a course but can no longer carry on, you will not be eligible for a full course refund. If you enrol on a course and the start date passes, you will not be eligible for a course material fee refund. If you get remitted fees and attend your course for free, if you do not attend the first two sessions without letting the tutor know or without valid reason, you will be withdrawn from the course.
