Course introduction
This course is perfect if you work with children/adults with a special education need or who have a disability This is also idea for parents to gain a better understanding of the subject.
The modules covered within the subject are:
- Awareness of behaviours that challenge in children
- Behaviour that challenges and learning disabilities in children
- Behaviours that challenge and mental health in children
- Behaviours that challenges, sensory issues and autism in children
- Legislation supporting behaviour that challenge in children
- Principles if intervention when working with behaviour that challenges in children.
By the end of the course you can expect to have more clarification and understanding of all aspects of SEND.
Duration: You will study this course at your own pace, but it must be completed within 12 weeks. You will receive an automated email reminding you of when you need to complete your assignment.

TQUK Level Certificate in Special Education Needs and Disabilities
There are no formal entry requirements but you must be aged 19+.
Please note: All students will need to complete an Initial Assessment before being enrolled onto the course.
The course is assessed by internally set and marked assessments subjects. All learners are assessed on their knowledge and understanding throughout their course.
All learning outcomes and assessment criteria must be met to achieve a Pass.
Successful learners can progress onto other Level 2 qualifications within the online offer including:
- Understanding Children and Young Peoples Mental Health
- Certificate in Understanding Behaviours that Challenge
- Introduction in Caring for Children and Young People
- Certificate in Principles of Working with Individuals with Learning Disabilities
