Sheena is the Director of Almas Investments Limited, a sourcing agent and property investments company based in Nottinghamshire and is planning on expanding her business. Therefore, she intends to recruit in the future.

To ensure she was fully prepared to take on new starters, she began her journey with Nottingham College by enrolling on the Coaching and Mentoring in the Workplace course through the Smart and Inclusive Leadership (SAIL) Project.

This course has given me the confidence to coach new starters into the business and has given me the desire to work with Nottingham College students by coaching them through a Live Brief within my business.

Sheena was taught in a group of twenty professionals, including individuals joining the course online, from their workplace and in person.

The tutor’s ability to keep everybody engaged was fantastic and this course has given me the confidence to coach new starters into the business. I also really enjoyed interacting with other people in the sessions through tasks and discussion to learn their thoughts and ideas.

I have also enrolled onto the GRADS for D2N2 Project with Nottingham College, so I am receiving free business advice from their Employer Workforce Development Lead who is helping to make the Live Brief happen.

She has also recently enrolled onto the Introduction to Digital Marketing course through the Branch Out in STEM Project to develop her business knowledge further.

I’ve had an excellent experience with Nottingham College so far. The services and opportunities I have received so far have been very helpful and extremely cost effective as a lot of the support is completely free.

I would happily send my children to Nottingham College because I can see that students are provided with real-life employment experiences as well as education.
