Computing Comp

Choosing a computing or office technologies course can open the door into hundreds of different jobs in a range of career areas worldwide, such as: programming, network administration, website development or business administration.

Our work-related courses combine a mixture of lectures, practical sessions and industry talks and trips to give you in-depth knowledge of your chosen subject. You will be based in our brand new City Hub, and you’ll develop the skills you’ll need in your future career.

Work experience opportunities across our programmes help students to achieve successful employment on completion of their programme of study.

On top of all that, our tutors have a wealth of industry experience. So you can be sure you will be learning from people who have the experience and knowledge to set you up for a career. Areas could include anything from secretarial work to IT support, and from legal executive work to network analyst roles.

Routing and Switching Essentials (Level 4) - Part-time

This course provides you with an understanding of the architecture, components, and operations of routers and switches in a small network.

Networking Infrastructure (Level 5) - Part time

The purpose of this unit is to provide you with an understanding of the directory-based infrastructure of large scale complex networked systems, their design, implementation and testing.

Microsoft Units: Word Processing and Powerpoint (Level 1) - Part-time

Computing for Beginners - Part-time

Computing Skills for Employment - Part-time

On this course you will gain a basic knowledge of computers in a relaxed environment. It is suitable for beginners and improvers.

IT and Work Skills (Entry Level College Certificate) - Full-time

This course is perfect if you would like a basic introduction to IT and some skills which will help you in future work and life.

IT Users (Level 1 BTEC Certificate) - Full-time

If you want to develop the skills and personal qualities needed to work in IT and to help you achieve your full potential, then this course is for you.

IT for Beginners - Part-time

This course is for those who have little of no computer experience and would like to learn in a relaxed environment.

IT for Improvers - Part-time

This is a follow on course from the IT for Beginners.

A Level Computer Science

Studying AS in the first year and progressing to the full A Level in the second is a great way to study A Levels, but you may have the option to study the full A Level in a single year.
