Theatre Arts (Acting) Foundation Degree Level 5

Validated by Nottingham Trent University.

If you’re passionate about performing and are looking to kick start your performance career, this course is perfect preparation.

You’ll gain the professional knowledge, skills and experience you need in your chosen specialist area. You can choose between acting, dance and technical theatre.

Our acting graduates have gone on to successful careers as workshop leaders for disability arts organisations, community artists, youth theatre directors, arts development workers, heritage and leisure workers, film actors and performers in both small-scale and main house theatre companies.

We have close links with local arts organisations including Dance4, Nottingham Playhouse, Hatch, Dragon’s Breath Theatre Company and Nottingham Lakeside, giving you plenty of opportunities to work with practicing professionals.

We have excellent facilities for performers at our Clarendon centre, which are used by practitioners across the East Midlands. You’ll have access to state-of-the-art equipment for sound and lighting, well-equipped workshops and dance studios, and sound and film editing resources.

The course is delivered by tutors who have worked as professional actors, dancers and production managers with strong academic backgrounds. Throughout the course you'll work with professional practitioners.
