This course will suit you if:
This Level 1 qualification introduces the role of a bookkeeper and the underpinning knowledge to identify and carry out simple different bookkeeping activities, such as income and expenditure, profit and loss, and assets and liabilities. It also offers an introduction into the role, and the benefits and risks associated with bookkeeping software.
Learning outcomes include:
Classes will be delivered every week and additional resources are made available to support independent and follow up study outside of classes - these can be online and/or physical book resources based on your course and level. Evening courses are available on some levels which allow for blended learning where 2 hours of your course is online study.
Initial Assessment process:
We assess all students as part of the enrolment process to ensure you have applied to the right level course and meet all of our entry requirements. If we feel that you would benefit from acquiring some skills from a lower level than you have applied for, before completing your applied course, we may recommend you complete an initial course with us first before progressing.
Additional costs include course materials, the first exam and registration fees for AAT. Any exam re-sits will need to be paid for separately.
AAT Level 1 Award in Bookkeeping
We would like all applicants to have a minimum of Level 1 in Functional Skills Maths but are happy to take applications and assess during enrolment.
You will undertake a computer based assessment when you are ready.
You can progress to Level 2 AAT Accountancy courses or obtain employment as a cashier.
