This course is perfect if you want to develop the kinds of entrepreneurial skills that will be useful if you set up and run their own businesses but will also be useful in any work environment. This course is developed in consultation with learning providers. This course offers an introduction to enterprise that will be relevant to a wide range of people.
You will learn entrepreneurship and how to present enterprise ideas.
This qualification is made up of two mandatory units:
• Exploring entrepreneurship
• Exploring and presenting enterprise ideas
Together these units cover the skills needed for successful entrepreneurship and ways to identify, discuss and present ideas for enterprise.
You can expect an experienced business teacher who has run their own business to teach relevant business skills to explore ways of developing a business from scratch. You will work in groups, pairs and research businesses and understand what makes a successful business. You will learn business terminology and develop effective communication skills. Useful in the business environment.
Course information
Gateway Level 1 Award in Exploring Enterprise
There are no formal entry requirements but you must be aged 19+.
You will present a portfolio of entrepreneurial ideas.
You could progress onto other Level 1 courses at Nottingham college or Level 2 courses if you have Maths and English at Level 2.
