Course introduction

The course is perfect if you want to develop your fine art painting skills

If you’re looking to expand your painting skills, our course offers something for everyone. Led by an expert art tutor, this this short course will give you the opportunity to learn the principles of painting and will lead to the development of a portfolio of painting techniques.

Our expert art tutors will guide you through the intricacies of colour, brushwork, working in a variety of mediums as well as creation of interesting compositions, helping you to master the art of capturing different forms in paint. Get ready to discover your unique style and watch your paintings come to life.

You will receive an induction to our well resourced Art Department, excellent tutor teaching, new knowledge and skills, and opportunities to develop your creativity.

Basic drawing or painting media will be provided on the course. If you want to develop your work further you can purchase art materials at our Art Shop based at 25 Stoney Street

NCFE Entry Level Award

There are no formal entry requirements but you must be aged 19+.

Learning objectives will be shared along with personal targets. Progress will be assessed on-going and you will be supported with regular feedback.
