Apprenticeship introduction

If you want to provide high-quality and compassionate specialist health and social care in a management role for a range of people then this apprenticeship maybe for you.

You will complete a Level 5 diploma covering a range of units to help develop and strengthen your knowledge and understanding in management. There are also optional units so you can work towards understanding in your area. 

Duration: Minimum of 18 months depending on experience.

Apprenticeship information

Leader in Adult Care - Higher Apprenticeship Level 5

You will need at least 5 GCSEs at Grades 9 - 4 (A* - C) including Maths at Grade 9 - 6 (A - B), English and Science or their equivalent. Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to have achieve this prior to taking the end point assessment.

You will also need to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week in a relevant job but we can assist you in finding a placement.

Adults who are aged 19+ with appropriate industry experience but without the necessary qualifications are welcome to apply.

All applicants will be required to undertake an assessment in English and maths prior to enrolling.

This qualification is assessed in the workplace. The delivery will be a mixture of face-to-face and on-line. Observations in the workplace with an on-line portfolio. End point assessment includes an observation and a professional discussion.

You may be able to move onto higher education after completing the Level 5.
