T Level in Craft and Design (Level 3) (16 – 18) — Full-time
Course outline
Starting in 2025, this course perfect if you enjoy fashion, craft and design and are thinking of starting a career in the industry.
The new T Level combines workshop- and classroom-based study with hands-on experience working with an employer for at least 9 weeks.
A T Level is a nationally-recognised qualification that is worth the same number of UCAS points as 3 A levels and is accepted by universities. It is an examination-based qualification with a placement element.
Students will develop an understanding of a broad range of issues relevant to the sector, including:
- The creative economy
- The individual in the creative industries
- Cultural context and vocabulary
- Audience and consumer needs
- Legal and regulatory requirements
- Professional standards and conduct in the workplace
- Equality, diversity and inclusion requirements
- Research skills
- Project methodology and administration
- Continued professional development
In addition to the core content, each student will also complete at least one module of occupation-specific content.
The specialisms available in the Craft and Design T Level are:
- Jewellery maker
- Ceramics maker
- Textiles and fashion maker
The T Level includes a minimum of nine weeks working with an employer on an industry placement.
You will be working in industry standard studios and workshops in the College environment, supported by highly qualified tutors and technical staff.

Entry requirements | You need a minimum of five GCSEs at grade 5 or above, including English and Maths at grade 5. This course is for students aged 16-18 only. |
