When you first enrol at Nottingham College, you will receive an email with your college account details. This normally happens within 24 hours of your enrolment being completed and being made "active".

This email will contain a username and password. The password is a 10-character randomly generated string of numbers and capital letters such as "9AA123BBBC", this is to meet our minimum password requirements, but this can be changed once you have logged in for the first time.

This is your college student college account, which will be used for accessing a variety of systems at Nottingham College, including Microsoft 365, student email and more.

Your username will be your student number followed by @student.nottinghamcollege.ac.uk, for example 123456@student.nottinghamcollege.ac.uk

How do I log into my student email account?

To login into your student account, you can sign in to Outlook Mail. Your student email address is also your login for any Nottingham College systems and Microsoft 365 services, such as Microsoft Office, OneDrive and other services.

You will be presented with a Nottingham College branded sign-in screen to provide your student email address, which will be your student ID followed by @student.nottinghamcollege.ac.uk. For example 123456@student.nottinghamcollege.ac.uk. Your student ID is always six digits. 

The password for your account will be the randomly generated password provided by email.

How do I change my password?

When you have signed in and completed your multi-factor authentication setup for the first time, you can change your password by using the button below.

When changing your password, it must meet the following password complexity requirements.

  1. Contain at least 10 characters.
  2. Not be included in Microsoft’s Banned Password List (passwords involved in known breaches).
