The system that uses this number can also send SMS messages when a mobile number is not enabled for WhatsApp. This is still legitimate communication from Nottingham College, any SMS message will come through as from just the number and not any specific name outside of WhatsApp. The number is owned and operated by Nottingham College.
WhatsApp conversations through business accounts are classified as live for up to 24 hours. When you initiate a conversation with our WhatsApp profile this creates a 24 hour customer service window. When a conversation goes inactive (not live) we are not able to respond in real-time anymore, but can send approved template messages as a response to restart the conversation.
Providing you respond within this 24 hour window and during our messaging hours, messaging us over WhatsApp does not have to be instant, and you can go about your day and reply when you can.
