You can expect a dedicated team of lecturers, who have a wealth of industry skills and experience, creating an exciting and vibrant atmosphere for your learning

This course will be hands-on, where you will experience the latest industry trends and techniques, using high quality products. 

You will be expected to work in a commercial salon carrying out treatments on paying clients in addition to studying the underpinning knowledge required to pass end of unit tests.

You will take part in trips, visits, seminars, and competitions alongside your course to further develop your understanding and knowledge of the industry, which will be dependent upon your attendance and professional conduct.

VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Treatments

To meet our entry requirements for this course, you must have a keen interest in the subject and have gained a level 2 beauty therapy qualification. In addition to this, you must have 4 GCSEs grades 9-3, with English Language and Maths at least a grade 4 or equivalent (Grade C or Functional Skills Level 1).

At interview, all students will be assessed on their suitability for this course including artistic flair, communication, professional conduct, attitude, behaviour and previous school/college attendance.

This course is assessed continuously throughout the academic year. You will experience a wide range of assessment including observations of practical treatments, assignment based work and multiple-choice online exams.

You will be required to work on clients to complete your assessments.

On successful completion of this course, you may progress on to a Level 4 beauty therapy course, or another related level 3 programme. You could also progress to Level 2 hairdressing.

Employment opportunities include working in beauty salons, health spas, hotels, cruise liners and freelance.

There may also be opportunities for university courses in fields such as physiotherapy.

All students are required to complete 30 hours experience of work in addition to this course.

All students will be required to wear a uniform and bring their kit for every lesson.

Your timetable may include a late evening session.

Students aged 16-18 don't have to pay tuition fees.
