This course is perfect if you are looking to pursue a career in a specialist spa environment such as within a high-end hotel or dedicated spa facility. This course provides a great foundation for a career in spa management too.
You’ll learn a range of advanced beauty techniques, such as:
- Body massage
- Hot stone massage
- Facial and body electrical treatments.
You’ll also cover:
- Client care
- Health and safety
- A range of products and services
You can expect a timetable of both practical and theory-based lessons with lecturers who are experienced in the industry. You will practise a range of treatments and will spend time in our commercial salon to develop your skills in working with customers. You’ll work with recognised product brands such as Dermalogica and Spa Find. As part of your course, you will also be required to obtain work experience.

Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy
You’ll need to have completed a Level 2 vocational qualification in a related field and have gained 5 GCSEs at grade 9–4/A*–C, including English Language and Maths – both of these must be grade 9–4/A*–C or Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths
You will be assessed through practical observations, assignments, portfolio, and theory-based units and tests.
Choose to follow with further study, perhaps onto a degree in hospitality or service management or into employment within a spa setting to further develop your skills and experience with customers and with a broad range of products.
