Course introduction

It is no longer possible to apply/enrol for this course as there are no course dates available. Please check back later as we may be offering it again in the future.

This course is designed for fashion creatives who are ready to take the next step towards building their own brand or creative business. Whether you already have a business idea, a developing fashion label, or want to turn your creative skills into a professional venture, the course will help you build the confidence, knowledge, and practical enterprise skills needed to launch and grow within the fashion industry. It is particularly suited to students progressing from full-time study who want to develop their creative identity, strengthen their professional practice, and understand how to successfully establish and run an independent fashion business.

We recommend that this course is studied alongside the NCFE Level 2 Award in Digital Promotion for Business (Fashion) course.

You will learn how to develop and research a fashion business idea, identify your audience and customer market, and begin building a professional business plan tailored to the creative industries. The course also explores branding, budgeting, marketing and promotion, alongside the legal and practical considerations involved in launching and managing an independent fashion brand or creative start-up. Through industry-focused projects, you’ll gain a clearer understanding of how to turn your creative practice into a sustainable and successful business.

Through engaging studio sessions, industry-led projects, and support from experienced tutors, you will develop practical creative and entrepreneurial skills within a fashion-focused environment. The course encourages you to explore and refine your own brand or business ideas while building confidence in self-promotion, professional practice, and independent working. You will also strengthen the skills needed to progress into self-employment, freelance creative work, further study, or careers within the wider fashion and creative industries.

Please note: Due to the high demand of these part time courses, if you start a course but can no longer carry on, you will not be eligible for a full course refund. If you enrol on a course and the start date passes, you will not be eligible for a course material fee refund. If you get remitted fees and attend your course for free, if you do not attend the first two sessions without letting the tutor know or without valid reason, you will be withdrawn from the course. Many thanks for your understanding.
