The objective of this qualification is to:  

  • gain an understanding of the steps of creating and developing a business start-up
  • develop an awareness of business skills
  • increase self-awareness and aid personal development. 

Students will learn how to research and plan a fashion business idea, understand key factors like target customers and competitors, and explore how to promote and finance a start-up. The course also covers important areas such as legal requirements, business structures, budgeting, and business planning. By the end of the course, learners will have a clear understanding of how to set up and run a small business effectively.

  • Unit 02: Marketing a business start-up
  • Unit 03: Legal and financial considerations for a business start-up
  • Unit 04: Developing a business plan

On the NCFE Level 2 Creating a Business Start-Up course, students can expect a practical and engaging learning experience focused on turning business ideas into reality. The course takes learners step-by-step through the process of setting up a business, from developing an idea and researching the market to understanding legal responsibilities and managing finances. Lessons are interactive and often involve real-life case studies, group discussions, and individual projects. Students will also have the opportunity to create a business plan, which can act as a useful foundation for launching their own enterprise in the future. Throughout the course, learners will build valuable skills in problem-solving, decision-making, and communication – all essential for anyone looking to succeed in self-employment or business management.

Please note: Due to the high demand of these part time courses, if you start a course but can no longer carry on, you will not be eligible for a full course refund. If you enrol on a course and the start date passes, you will not be eligible for a course material fee refund. If you get remitted fees and attend your course for free, if you do not attend the first two sessions without letting the tutor know or without valid reason, you will be withdrawn from the course. NCFE Level Award in Creating a Business Start Up

You must have Level 2 English and Maths and be aged 19+.

You will complete a portfolio of evidence including notes, presentations, research and reports which will be assessed.
