Course introduction

This course is a comprehensive understanding of domestic abuse along with effective methods for providing support and safeguarding. This knowledge is essential for employers, educators, healthcare and social care professionals, as well as anyone involved in the protection of vulnerable adults, children, or young people. 

This course is comprised of one unit with five sections: 

  • Section 1: What is domestic abuse?
  • Section 2: The dynamics of a relationship that lead to abuse
  • Section 3: The impact of domestic abuse on different demographics
  • Section 4: The signs of domestic abuse
  • Section 5: How to report and react to domestic abuse disclosure 

Upon completing this online course, you will acquire a comprehensive understanding of various aspects related to domestic abuse and how to identify the signs and where to seek support.
