Course introduction

The aim of the course is to consolidate existing knowledge of Microsoft Excel at Level 1. 

By the end of the course you will:

Be able to identify and use Cells, Columns, Rows, Workbooks to enter and manage data 
Be able to edit and format text and adjust text alignment, including merging cells
Demonstrate ability to insert basic formulas including SUM, AVERAGE, COUNT, COUNTA, MIN and MAX
Know and be able to use Autosum and Autofill   
Know and be able to use Absolute Cell Referencing 
Know how to sort and filter data in Excel
Be able to create and format simple graphs and charts (Column, Bar, Pie and Line) 
Be able to use basic IF and COUNTIF functions

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements but you should have experience/ knowledge in Microsoft Office.

You should attend regularly and be punctual and have a good standard of written and spoken English.

You will be required to complete a mandatory course workbook (Unique Learning Programme) each week, with the support of your course tutor.

Teaching & Assessment

Tutors will give regular verbal and written feedback. You will be required to complete a short workbook and encouraged to set your own personal targets as part of this course.
