This month we hosted guests from our new partners Anest Iwata UK at our Emtec campus. Students had the opportunity to learn more about some of the equipment ahead of Anest Iwata’s donation to the college.

Our apprentices will be able to use several Anest Iwata products during their education moving forward as they support the college with technical expertise and donated equipment.

Anest Iwata, had this to say about the arrangement:

"We're proud to support Emtec Colleges with equipment and technical expertise. Students will now have access to our Series 2 range and WS-Primer spray guns. This is the start of a long-term partnership, and we're excited for what's ahead."

The technical information and industry insights shared during this meeting proved invaluable, providing us with comprehensive updates on the latest developments in spray-paint technology and methodology.

Anest-Iwata generously donated two complete spray gun kits, a specialised primer gun, and several additional spray equipment sets designed for specific paint systems. Our apprentices have already begun incorporating these professional-grade tools into their practical training sessions during their block weeks, generating considerable enthusiasm. Many have enquired about equipment availability and procurement options.

If you’ve ever wanted a show stopping spray gun, our products are amazing. That is just because there’s nothing else like them on the market. The way we introduce air into the paint stream is unique, it makes the paint lay flat. We want to provide this technology to apprentices, so they can learn and develop with the best equipment for the job.

Andy Holton, Regional Sales Manager for Anest Iwata

We had the distinct pleasure of welcoming Andy and Drew from Anest Iwata to EMTEC, Nottingham College on Wednesday, 7th May 2025.

The ongoing support and technical expertise provided by the Anest Iwata team significantly enhances our ability to deliver cutting-edge training. Their partnership ensures our Accident Repair programmes maintain industry-leading standards and practices.

Karl Clay, Curriculum Manager at Nottingham College

Yesterday was just the first stage in a larger project that incorporates both the Nottingham College mission to ‘unlock potential through learning’ and Anest Iwata’s aim to ‘deliver the most technically advanced spraying equipment on the market’.

The college is excited to see where this partnership can go.
