The quality of provision at our Once Upon a Time day nursery based at our Adams Building has once again been rated ‘good’ following a recent Ofsted inspection. The purpose-built day nursery is based in The Lace Market and caters for children aged from eight weeks through to four years old.
The quality of provision at our Once Upon a Time day nursery based at our Adams Building has once again been rated ‘good’ following a recent Ofsted inspection. The purpose-built day nursery is based in The Lace Market and caters for children aged from eight weeks through to four years old.
The inspectors’ report praised the nursery’s management team and staff who “work together to create an ambitious and curriculum and plan activities to build on what the children know.”
The report goes on to say that “the curriculum offer is designed for the specific learning needs of the children.”
It was also noted in the report how staff helped develop the children’s social skills and that children are encouraged to communicate at all levels to improve their communications skills.
The development of the children is one of the main aims of the nursery and the report endorses this stating that “all children, including children with special education needs and/or disabilities, make good progress in their learning and development”.

"We are delighted that our Once Upon a Time Nursery has upheld its high standards and maintained our grade 2 Ofsted rating of ‘Good’. The children in our nursery receive loving individual care from all of our qualified, experienced and dedicated staff and this award of ‘Good’ is testament to their hard work in helping support and develop the children that are placed in our care."
Ofsted is the Government body that regulates and assesses the performance of childcare and early years provision in the UK.
