This Friday and Saturday (6th/7th Feb), our city will be illuminated with more than 30 glowing installations, interactive displays, and live performances illuminating the city's landmarks, streets, and hidden corners – and once again Nottingham College is taking part!
Returning for its 18th year, Light Night is a staple in the Nottingham events calendar and is set to be a weekend not to be missed. This year, students from our campuses will be working together on installations and performances to all take place at City Hub. Here’s a break down on what to expect:
- Outdoor stage performances: Look out for an outdoor stage under the arches of the tramline adjacent to City Hub. This stage will be the backdrop to performances from our Dance and Musical Theatre students and choirs. Plus, performances from creatives outside of the college.
- Light installation: The Theatre will be illuminated with the best new work from art and design students, showcasing practices across product design, sculpture, glasswork and photography in this one-off exhibition.
- A celebration of photography: A photography projection and short film installation will be shown in the atrium.
- Food options: Our Fletchers restaurant will be open to the public during Light Night, serving a range of food and hot drinks.
