Spreading Joy this Festive Season with the Positivi-tree Fundraiser
For our college's festive fundraiser this year, our staff and students are once again joining forces to bring joy to people in our local community who may otherwise go without.
Festive trees have been set up around our campuses, each adorned with tags representing wishes from individuals supported by charities, organisations, or companies.
This initiative allows our students and staff to simply choose a tag from the tree, purchase the specified gift, and return it to their campus reception in a carrier bag with the tag attached before 11th December.
Our students worked together to make this happen. At Basford, our Level 3 Joinery and Carpentry students designed and built the wooden collection crate, our Level 1 Painting and Decorating students painted it and wrote the tags, and our Level 1 Land students hung them up on the tree.
Additionally, the tree at Adams was organised by our Level 2 Nail students. At City Hub, the tree was organised by our Level 3 Aviation and Level 1 Creative Media students. And at High Pavement, the tree was organised by a group of A Level students.
The different charities we are supporting include:
- Herbert Buzzard Court Retirement Home
- Rivendell View Care Home
- Beeston Rise Care Home
- Stonebridge City Farm
- Fairway View Care Home
- Bluebell Hill Primary School
- Tara's Angels and Bags of Blessings
- Nottingham Women’s Centre
- Animals in the animal care department at Basford
- Bags of Blessings
This initiative is being organised by a Level 1 Painting and Decorating group at Basford, an A Level Group at High Pavement, and a Level 2 Creative Media Group at City Hub.
Donation boxes will be available at all campuses, so please show your support if you can.
