We are thrilled to share the progress made by our dedicated students. One of the students expressed their enjoyment in sawing during the project.
Over the course of three days, our two Pre-16 groups of Level 1 and Entry 3 Foundation Learning actively participated in helping ‘Volunteer It Yourself’ with various tasks. We are thrilled to share the progress made by our dedicated students.
Our students dug holes for the decking foundations, coated fences and wood with preservative, measured and sawed lengths of wood, and even used power tools to assemble units and a pagoda. This was done over the course of 3 days for each group - 6 in total and the students demonstrated their hard work and commitment, with some going the extra mile to contribute to the project.
This experience has been invaluable for our students as they have not only developed new skills in carpentry and joinery but also gained insight into the construction industry. Working alongside the ‘Volunteer It Yourself’ organisation, our learners received exceptional guidance and support throughout the project.
The Broxtowe Community Project continues to make a positive impact in our community, and we are proud of our students' significant contribution.
Let's give a big round of applause to our students for their dedication and hard work! Their efforts are a testament to the positive outcomes that can be achieved through community collaboration.
