Learn about our new partnership with Notts County, to provide new learning experiences for our students.

We're pleased to announce an exciting new partnership with Notts County, the world’s oldest professional football club, to offer students the opportunity to learn and study in the unique setting of Meadow Lane Stadium.

It will see courses being offered in Business, Hospitality and Catering, and will also develop work placement opportunities for students to ensure they are ready for the next steps in their careers.

Leading the way will be a brand-new Hospitality Training Hub based at Meadow Lane, which will provide project-based learning in the fields of hospitality, customer service, event planning and team leadership.

Students will have the unique opportunity to work on a task set to them by Notts County chief executive, Joe Palmer, while also benefitting from guest lectures and potential apprenticeship opportunities with the club and its diverse range of partners.

Mr Palmer said:

"We’re hugely excited to welcome Nottingham College as a partner of Notts County Learning and Innovation Centre – and to introduce our brand-new Hospitality Training Hub.

The club is continuing on a path of tremendous growth, with average crowds now surpassing 10,000 and our recently-launched fanzone, the Nest, creating significant employment opportunities in the hospitality and events sector.

As our operation continues to expand, so too does our responsibility to play our part in nurturing local students who are looking to take their first steps in sport, hospitality or events. The Hospitality Training Hub allows us to do just that."

Rachel Wadsworth, our Vice Principal for Curriculum and Support, said:

"We are thrilled to be partnering with Notts County, it’s a natural fit for our two institutions to come together to support students across Nottinghamshire. Whether students are interested in Sport, Catering, Performing Arts, Business or even Esports – there will be lots of options with fantastic opportunities to get real world experience alongside their studies.

Through the partnership we also have plans in place to host a number of adult training courses, so the impact of our partnership will stretch even further. "

The wider partnership will also present opportunities for Nottingham College students to engage in volunteering opportunities with our charitable arm, Notts County Foundation, as part of our shared objectives of encouraging young people and learners to give back to their local community.
