We’re thrilled to announce that our college has been named an Association of Colleges (AoC) Beacon Awards 2025 finalist, recognised for our outstanding commitment to sustainability and education for sustainable development.
This national recognition celebrates the innovative steps we’ve taken to embed sustainability into our teaching, operations, and student experience. From reducing our carbon footprint to integrating green skills into the curriculum, our efforts aim to prepare learners for a future where sustainability is at the heart of every industry.
Our dedicated staff and students have worked tirelessly to champion environmental responsibility and create a culture of positive change. This achievement reflects the power of education in driving sustainable progress and inspiring the next generation to make a difference.
We spoke to Matt Bunn, Sustainability lead about the award. He said:
"We are delighted to be a finalist for Education for Sustainable Development. This is a result of many staff and student's effort across the college and over a significant length of time.
Our Sustainable journey is gaining tremendous traction and on the back of us winning the prestigious Green Gown Award, shows we are heading in the right direction. Our consultation across all facets of the college community is having a strong impact."
Congratulations to everyone involved in making this possible!
