National Apprenticeship Week is a weeklong celebration, designed to highlight the benefits of apprenticeships for apprentices and employers.
What’s on this Apprenticeship week?
Monday: Skills for Life!
National Apprenticeship starts and we’re looking forward to sharing stories from our apprentices, staff and employers. Keep your eyes on our socials to stay up to date.
Employer Tuesday
We’ll be sharing a video from Dean, the Learning and Growth Development Consultant at The Protocol Group, who is talking about their experience hiring an apprentice, how they found the process and the experience and how their apprentice, Ella, is doing over 3 years later.
In the evening, we will also be hosting out Apprenticeship Open Evening at our Basford campus. You’ll have the chance to speak to our employers about apprenticeships and get any questions answered.
Apprentice Wednesday
We’re challenging stereotypes by championing women who are excelling in industries traditionally male-dominated, including engineering, motor vehicle, construction, and more.
We’ll be speaking with apprentices Phoenix and Lowrie, who are currently studying the Light Vehicle programme and Construction Skills respectively. They’ll share their experiences, the challenges they’ve overcome, and why apprenticeships offer a powerful pathway for women looking to build careers in these sectors.
T Level Thursday
Hear from Lewis and Niall, two of our first-year Business T Level students talk about how they’re finding the course so far.
From hands-on projects to learning how real businesses work, they share how the T Level is setting them up for success.
Celebration Friday
Take a look back at our Apprenticeship Awards last year and find out the details about our Apprenticeship Awards 2026!
The NAW Weekender
A bonus case study from one of our catering tutors, Thomas Hendrie, who is a chef trainer that works closely with apprentices, with a focus on apprentices with additional support needs.
He’ll be going through some of the benefits of doing and apprenticeship with us.
