We’re thrilled to announce that we've been shortlisted as a finalist in the 2025 UK & Ireland Green Gown Awards, a prestigious recognition of sustainability excellence in the education sector.

Now in their 11th year, the Green Gown Awards celebrate the innovative and impactful sustainability initiatives being led by universities and colleges across the UK, Ireland, and globally. Supported by the UN Environment Programme, the International Green Gown Awards place education institutions at the heart of delivering the UN Global Goals, showcasing projects that are making a real difference to our planet and communities.

We entered the awards with an application containing an extensive list outlining all of the incredible ways our college, staff and students have implemented towards becoming a more sustainable institution.

Being named a finalist is a testament to our commitment to sustainability and our proactive efforts to embed environmental responsibility into every aspect of college life — from our ZERO campaign to greener and wilder campuses, from green skills courses and student-led sustainable projects to external partnerships and community engagement. Our college is going above and beyond to encourage and support a more sustainable world for our students.

The winners and highly commended entries will be revealed at the Green Gown Awards ceremony on 6 November, held at the Library of Birmingham.

We’re proud to be part of a movement that’s shaping a greener future through education. Stay tuned for updates as we head towards the awards ceremony in November!
