Did you know? You can upload any evidence to your college account directly to help speed up your enrolment on the day. You can upload any evidence documents through the My Documents page on your account prior to enrolling.
When enrolling onto a course you will need to provide certain documents as part of the process, you can use this page as a guide for everything you need to bring with you.
As a general guide, you should bring the following documents. You can find more of the specific types of documents that are accepted or required below:
- Personal identification - One form of accepted personal identification document.
- Exam certificates/results - For proof of meeting the entry requirements for the course you are enrolling onto.
- Residency (if required) - If you were not born in the United Kingdom, you will need to provide evidence of your Immigration status.
- Course fees/fee remission - For those who are aged 19 or over, you may need to pay course fees or be entitled to fee remission (course fees waived). Our financial support pages provide more details on all the available funding for each different level of course.
Students aged 16-18 as of the 31st August 2025, or 19-24 with an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) are eligible for full fee remission (you won't have to pay any course fees). National Insurance number
- For students aged 16-18, it is not a requirement to provide your National Insurance number at enrolment, but it can be added to your student record for future reference.
- For students aged 19 or over, it is a requirement for funding purposes and you cannot enrol without this.
Residency
If you were not born in the United Kingdom, you will need to provide evidence of your Immigration Status by providing either your share code, e-Visa or your in-date Biometric Card. We have a separate page about providing this evidence.
Course fees/financial support
If you are aged 16-18 as of the 31st August 2026 or 19-24 with an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP), you will not have any course fees to pay for a Further Education Course, if you are required to pay course fees or are eligible for your course fees being waived (fee remission), we have additional information about course fees and what remitted fees are available.
If you need to apply for student finance support, you can do this before you enrol, but your application won't be processed until you complete your enrolment.
Have you signed your Learning Agreement yet?
