Course introduction
This course is perfect if you have an interest in working in the events industry.
It is a great opportunity for students to benefit from gaining first-hand experience of the planning, running and promoting of events in partnership with Notts County Football Club at Meadow Lane. You will take part in a range of work experience opportunities which will be completed alongside studying the scale of the industry, how events are staffed and promoted as well as the finance behind them.
Topics include:
- Planning an Event
- Market Research and Methods of Event Planning
- Human Resource Planning
- Communication and Customer Service
You can expect a range of presentations, written assignments, teamwork activities and practical tasks as well as mandatory work experience to expand your skills and develop your professional industry behaviours.
Course information
1 year
NCFE Level 2 in Event Planning
You will need 4 GCSE’s at grade 3-9 including English and Maths, 1 of these at a 4 or above.
Assessment is by written assessments, presentations, promotional materials and work observation records.
You can progress onto Level 3 courses such as the T Level Management and Administration Level 3 Digital Marketing course.
Students aged 16-18 don't have to pay tuition fees.
