Course introduction

This course is for people that would like to learn the process of Gelli Printing through the world of pattern.

Gelli Printing is a modern type of monoprinting where you are able to create prints using a gel printing plate. You will apply layers of acrylic paint or printing ink onto the gel plate and then have the opportunity to manipulate the paint with various tools and transfer the image onto paper by pressing it firmly onto the plate. The result is a one-of-a-kind print including colour, texture and pattern.

You will create a range of different pieces of work that can be used for whatever you wish. This process is very versatile and can be used to create images, artworks, cards and craft designs dependent on your own personal projects.

You will receive an induction to our well-resourced art and design department, supportive tutoring, new knowledge and skills in Gelli Printing and opportunities to develop your creativity through your own design projects and ones set by the tutor.

Please note: Due to the high demand of these part time courses, if you start a course but can no longer carry on, you will not be eligible for a full course refund. If you enrol on a course and the start date passes, you will not be eligible for a course material fee refund. If you get remitted fees and attend your course for free, if you do not attend the first two sessions without letting the tutor know or without valid reason, you will be withdrawn from the course. Many thanks for your understanding.
