Hospitality Supervision and Leadership (Level 3) - Full-time

Hospitality Catering10

Course outline

This level will suit you if you have or currently work in the hospitality industry. Ideally you will have a fair amount of experience, and you might already supervise others or manage resources.

This course will allow you to progress and develop your skills in this area, and may even enable you to move into a management role within the sector.

You may be assessed either in your current role or whilst working in our award-winning Adams Restaurant.

Building on your skills, this course will allow you to take the lead and develop productive working relationships with colleagues from a managerial point of view.

You’ll learn the importance of leadership in this industry and all the skills that make up being a good leader, such as clear communications, excellent customer service, motivational techniques and management of staff, rotas, complaints and health and safety requirements. You’ll plan events and work front of house in a real restaurant to put your learning into practice.

You can expect practical supervisory experience in our award-winning Adams Restaurant in the heart of the Lace Market. You’ll gain a real insight into the industry, interact with paying customers and take part in restaurant takeovers with some of our partner restaurants across the city. There will be practical and theory-based assignments too, to test your knowledge and understanding of this growing sector.
