Course introduction

Are you passionate about sport and ready to level up a career in business? 

The Introduction to Business Course Level 2 is delivered in partnership between Notts County and Nottingham College and is designed for people who want to combine their love for the sport industry with practical business skills. 

Modules include:

  • How to manage teams and organisations effectively
  • Strategies for marketing, branding, and sponsorships – using a range of sport case studies
  • Financial management - including examples from within the sports industry
  • The power of media, broadcasting, and digital content in business
  • Event planning and the logistics including sporting events
  • Leadership and team-building principles that can be applied to a wide range of business organisations 

The course covers all elements of business, giving you the chance to specialise in your area of interest as the course progresses. We will discuss at your interview which pathway would be best for you.

Pearson Edexcel Level 2 Technical Certificate in Enterprise - Notts County

You’ll need 4 GCSEs at grades 9–3 (A*–D), including English Language and Maths – one of English Language or Maths must be grade 9–4 (A*–C). Functional Skills Level 1 can be used as equivalent to GCSE grade 3 (D) and Functional Skills Level 2 can be used as equivalent to GCSE grade 4 (C) or above.

Assessment is mainly through coursework, as well as practical assessments and some external assessments. 

You could progress to further learning, an apprenticeship or employment. 

Students aged 16-18 don't have to pay tuition fees.
