The Personal Tax course equips students with foundational knowledge of UK tax principles, focusing on areas critical to personal finance and professional practice.

It covers the objectives and types of taxation, including progressive, regressive, and proportional systems, emphasising the importance of ethical practices in tax planning, avoidance, and evasion.

You will learn to calculate UK taxpayers' total income from employment, investments, and property, applying for relevant allowances, deductions, and reliefs. Additionally, the course provides a thorough understanding of income tax, National Insurance Contributions (NICs), capital gains tax, and inheritance tax principles, including residence and domicile considerations.

Practical applications of tax calculations and planning strategies are highlighted, preparing students to approach tax obligations legally and efficiently while developing critical skills for finance, taxation, or further education careers.
