Course introduction

This qualification is intended for students who want to progress to a career in the accountancy sector. The purpose of the T Level Technical Qualification in Accounting is to ensure you have the knowledge and skills needed to progress into highly skilled employment, an Apprenticeship or higher-level study, including university, within the specialist area of accountancy.

T Level Technical Qualification in Accounting

You must be aged between 16 and 18 and have five GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English at grade 4 and Maths at grade 5 or above.

You will complete a range of externally-assessed projects including role plays, written exams and employer-set projects alongside completing 315 hours of relevant industry experience.

You could progress to further study or into employment in roles such as:

  • Payroll clerk 
  • Assistant accountant 
  • Trainee accounting assistant 
  • Account clerk 
  • Cashier finance assistant
