The purpose of this short course is to ensure that students are well-equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively manage and understand Value Added Tax (VAT) within various business contexts.

Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of VAT principles, including the calculation and application of output tax in different situations, such as specific business transactions and scenarios where business and non-business use overlap. They will also learn about input tax, focusing on the processes and requirements for recovering VAT paid on goods and services.

This course will develop their skills in identifying eligible input tax credits, maintaining compliance, and handling VAT adjustments.

Additionally, students will explore the importance of proper documentation and compliance measures, preparing them for roles in business finance, professional accountancy, or further education related to tax and business management.
