Course introduction

This qualification is designed for people who want to enter and/or progress from entry roles in the warehousing and storage industries. 

You will develop the underpinning knowledge necessary to support you in your role in this sector. Completion of this qualification will support your progression into employment or into higher level roles in the industry. 

The qualification is ideal if you are not in employment, or cannot access an apprenticeship.

Modules include:

  • The warehousing and storage industry
  • How to receive and store goods
  • How to process orders and prepare them for dispatch
  • How to check stock and update records
  • Customer service in warehousing and storage

You can expect:

  • A focus on the study of the warehousing and storage industry
  • Breadth and depth of study, incorporating a key core of knowledge
  • Progression to employment within the warehousing and storage industry
  • To become an informed and prepared potential employee within the industry

18 weeks

NCFE Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Warehousing and Storage

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, however, you may find it helpful if you’ve already achieved a Level 1 qualification.

You must be aged 19+ and meet the criteria for funding which you can read here.

You will complete a portfolio of evidence.

You could progress to:

  • Employment in the industry
  • Level 3 Award in Warehousing
  • Level 3 Diploma in Warehousing and Storage. 

It may also be useful to people studying qualifications in the retail and commercial enterprise sector.
