Apprenticeship introduction

This apprenticeship is for you if you would like career in the health and social care industry or are already employed and would like to upgrade your skills.

Typical roles include:

  • Care or service navigator
  • Community connector
  • Community health champion
  • Health trainer
  • Live well coach
  • Social prescribing link worker


You will study:

  • Communication
  • Health and wellbeing principles
  • Working with diverse groups and teams to support individuals to gain health support

Apprenticeship information

12 months plus 3 months EPA

Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship

You will also need 4 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4/A* to C or equivalent including English Language and Maths. Some employers may require additional qualifications depending on the role

You will need to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week in a relevant job, but we can assist you in finding a placement.

Adults who are aged 19+ with appropriate industry experience but without the necessary qualifications are welcome to apply.

All applicants will be required to undertake an assessment in English and maths prior to enrolling.
